Pentair BioShield 522636 UV Disinfection Sanitizer

The Pentair BioShield keeps unwanted guests out of your pool such as Cryptosporidium (the leading cause of waterborne illness which are resistant to chlorine disinfection alone, Giardia (Microscopic parasites) and E. coli Bacteria. The BioShield UV sterilizers use Low-Pressure High Output (LPHO) lamps that are approximately twice the UV output of a traditional Low Pressure (LP) lamp. The BioShield reduces chlorine usage and keeps the pool virtually bacteria-free.
